On November 29th, 2015 – Kubamba unveiled the Nominees of the Second Edition of their Kubamba Music Video Awards (K.M.V.A), an Awards Ceremony aimed at Celebrating Growth and Excellence in Gospel Music Videos.
You can now vote for your favorite Gospel Music Video from the nominees by sending a message to 22422 with artists code.
The Awards Ceremony have been rescheduled to a letter date.
The ceremony will award different areas of music production. The Categories include:
1. DANCEHALL/ REGGAE VIDEO OF THE YEAR
2. WORSHIP VIDEO OF THE YEAR
3. HIP-HOP VIDEO OF THE YEAR
4. AFRO-POP VIDEO OF THE YEAR
5. AFRICAN DIASPORA VIDEO OF THE YEAR
6. VIDEO WITH THE SOCIAL MESSAGE OF THE YEAR
7. BEST CULTURAL VIDEO OF THE YEAR
8. BEST FEMALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR
9. BEST MALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR
10. BEST CHOREOGRAPHY IN MUSIC VIDEO
11. BEST STORY-LINE VIDEO OF THE YEAR
12. BEST NEWCOMER VIDEO OF THE YEAR
13. BEST ZOUK MUSIC VIDEO OF THE YEAR
14. BEST CINEMATOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR
15. K.M.V.A. TOP PICK OF THE YEAR
16. KUBAMBA TEEN OF EXEMPLARY SERVICE
The nominated videos have been vetted by a team of qualified panelists with vast experience in both the music and the video production business. Their eligibility period is between October 2013 to September 2015. This Eligibility period is vast due to the skipped Award Year in 2014. The Panel thought it wise to include videos that were released in the 2014 and were not given a chance to be Nominated during the skipped Year.
